i like how ran didn't even care about the whole kidnapping situation and only wanted to find shinichi lmao the way she broke that door and went in 😭

She takes after her dad who didn't care that Shinichi was missing, and instead only cared about if they did more than kissing lol

Why didn't that girl just ask the private detective she went to in the first place for help? Instead of doing this whole complicated scheme to get a different detective to help?

I feel Ran was just a tad annoying in this episode. But i cant blame her tho. She was a bit justified.

That last scene there where he stood on the cinder block has no chance of working (especially when he ran away, like huh???) but im sure we all know that.

I mean episode 7 she kinda acted like this though

I suppose the most likely reason was because she’s a high schooler as well and probably heard of the famous kudou shinichi (also a high schooler) who is a genius detective

Since it’s a kidnapping case, and most likely the kidnapper threatened to do something if Hideo/her notified police or other people, her best option would be to find Kudou Shinichi and have him solve the case

But since he’s missing, she goes to a detective to ask him to find Kudou shinichi, sidestepping any outside involvement on the kidnapping case besides Kudou Shinichi knowing.

Conclusively, chalk it up to her being a high school student (first year I believe, so 16), not wanting to contact the authorities or outside help, and knowing about Shinichi’s genius capabilities.

Great episode

i wanna hear shinichi's voice again

Watching an old Conan episode is like wrapping yourself in a blanket straight out of the dryer - comforting.

To this day I have no clue who Ryoko is supposed to be and I swear it just isn’t explained

Like what’s her connection to Hideo Akagi (the soccer player)? Conan stated Ryoko Akagi might not even be her real name, so what’s her last name supposed to be (Ryoko is probably real, Akagi maybe not)? Or perhaps she’s just a cousin of Hideo’s or something.

Well, she doesn’t ever appear again in the series I don’t think, but Hideo does appear again numerous times I think.

I think she was a babysitter for the kid because she said that when she came over to make him breakfast, he was gone.

She used a fake last name so it would make it seem like it was her own house.

(Although, for someone who goes over to make breakfast, you would think she would know where basic things are at, like a spoon and cup).

Hide appears a lot more, but since it's never with his brother - and he too is never mentioned again, she's not shown. It also could be that she was forgotten by the author.

A lot of the cases involving a canon episode get pushed to the wayside because the main plot is more important. Here, it was a Shinichi/Ran episode with some mystery thrown in.

Finally I made it to episode 10 after one day

I find funny and cute at the same time annoying Ran here 😂
I mean the nerve to ask for explanation but yeah it's unfair who's that girl! Hahaha cutie ~
but I read a spoiler somewhere and yeah guess I'll stop putting my hopes for the both of them :(
